USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage
In the final weeks of World War II, Captain McVay commands the USS Indianapolis on a classified mission across the Pacific: delivering an atomic weapon to the American base on Tinian. On the return voyage, Japanese torpedoes sink the cruiser, leaving hundreds of sailors stranded in the Philippine Sea with little food or water and no immediate rescue. As the days pass, the survivors struggle against exhaustion, hallucinations and repeated shark attacks while waiting to be found.
