Das Boot (1981)

During the Second World War, Captain Lieutenant “Der Alte” leads a German submarine into the Atlantic, where its crew is ordered to attack Allied shipping. Lieutenant Werner observes the patrol alongside the sailors and officers as the boat’s mission turns from hunting convoys to evading enemy forces. With the vessel pushed to its limits, the crew must endure the pressure of life beneath the sea while facing a dangerous order to break through Gibraltar into the Mediterranean.
