Community Guidelines

1. Be respectful

Discuss ideas, titles and performances without attacking people. Disagreement is allowed; harassment is not.

Do not threaten, stalk, intimidate, shame or repeatedly target another person. Do not encourage others to do so.

2. No hate or dehumanising abuse

Do not attack or degrade people based on protected or personal characteristics. Slurs, dehumanising comparisons, praise of violence against a group and targeted discriminatory abuse are not allowed.

Context may matter for discussion, quotation or criticism, but do not use context as an excuse to target people.

3. Do not publish private information

Do not post another person’s address, phone number, private email, account credentials, identity documents, financial details, private messages or other non-public personal information.

Do not ask users to move to unsafe private contact or share sensitive information.

4. Avoid defamation and unverified allegations

Do not present a serious accusation about an identifiable person as fact unless you have a lawful and reliable basis to do so.

Discuss published reporting carefully, distinguish fact from opinion and link to a reliable source where appropriate. Watchmora may remove high-risk allegations even when the author believes them to be true.

5. Respect intellectual property

Do not paste full articles, scripts, subtitles, books or other protected works. Short quotations may be used where lawful and relevant, with attribution where appropriate.

Do not upload or link to pirated streams, downloads or tools designed to bypass access controls.

6. No illegal or dangerous content

Do not use comments to facilitate crime, exploitation, credible violence, self-harm encouragement, malware, fraud, credential theft or other serious harm.

Watchmora may preserve and disclose information where legally required or reasonably necessary to address an imminent risk.

7. Keep comments relevant

Stay reasonably connected to the title, person, article or feature being discussed. Repeated off-topic posting, copy-paste comments and disruption may be removed.

8. Mark spoilers

Use available spoiler controls and avoid putting major spoilers in usernames, opening text or places where people cannot reasonably avoid them.

A spoiler is not automatically prohibited, but deliberately ruining recent or important plot points for others may result in moderation.

9. No spam, scams or manipulation

Do not post repetitive promotion, deceptive links, referral spam, fake giveaways, phishing, impersonation or coordinated attempts to manipulate comments, ratings or recommendations.

Commercial promotion requires prior permission.

10. Use one honest identity

Do not impersonate a person, company, studio, provider, moderator or Watchmora. Parody must be clear and must not deceive people about identity or authority.

Do not create accounts to evade a restriction or manufacture support for your own comments.

11. Adult accounts only

You must be at least 18 to create or use a Watchmora account or post comments. People under 18 may browse the public catalogue without an account but must not use account-only community features.

12. Moderation

Watchmora may use automated systems, including OpenAI-based analysis, and human review to assess usernames and comments.

A submission may be allowed, held for review, limited, labelled, hidden or removed. An account may be warned, restricted, suspended or closed for serious or repeated breaches.

Automated moderation can make mistakes. Use the Content Report or Moderation Appeal form where available.

13. Reports

Report content in good faith and select the most relevant reason. Explain the issue clearly and include only evidence necessary to assess it.

Do not use reporting to punish disagreement, silence criticism or overwhelm moderators.

14. Appeals

An eligible moderation decision may be appealed through the Moderation Appeal form. The review considers the comment, context, guideline, available evidence and prior action.

An appeal does not guarantee reversal, and repeated duplicate appeals may be closed.

15. These Guidelines and the Terms

These Guidelines explain community expectations and form part of the rules applied under the Terms of Use. The Terms prevail if there is a direct conflict.

Watchmora may update these Guidelines as risks and features change. Material changes will be recorded through the legal versioning system.
