Hacksaw Ridge
During World War II, Desmond T. Doss joins the U.S. Army but refuses to carry a weapon because of his religious beliefs. He serves as a medic, a role that allows him to support the troops without taking lives, though his position puts him at odds with the demands of military service. When the fighting reaches Okinawa, Doss enters the battle unarmed to treat and rescue wounded soldiers.
