Silence
In the 17th century, Portuguese Jesuit priests Rodrigues and Garupe travel to Japan to find their mentor, Father Ferreira, after hearing that he has renounced his faith. Their search takes place amid violent persecution of Christians, forcing the two missionaries to confront torture and the threat of apostasy while trying to continue spreading Catholicism.
