Nuremberg
In postwar Germany, American psychiatrist Douglas Kelley is assigned to assess whether imprisoned Nazi leaders are mentally fit to stand trial for war crimes. His work brings him into repeated contact with Hermann Göring, Hitler’s former deputy, whose intelligence and arguments challenge Kelley’s professional judgment. As the Nuremberg tribunal prepares to establish a new standard for prosecuting wartime crimes, Kelley must decide how far a psychiatrist can go in understanding the people before him without losing sight of the crimes they are accused of.
