Bridge of Spies

During the Cold War, lawyer James B. Donovan is drawn into an international crisis after Soviet authorities capture American pilot Francis Gary Powers and his U-2 spy plane. The CIA asks Donovan to negotiate a possible exchange for Rudolf Abel, a convicted Soviet spy whom he previously defended in court. Donovan travels to divided Berlin, where he must deal with officials on both sides while trying to secure Powers’s release.
