Woman in Gold
Decades after fleeing Nazi persecution, elderly Jewish refugee Maria Altmann learns that a famous Gustav Klimt portrait once owned by her family is displayed in an Austrian museum. She asks young lawyer Randol Schoenberg to help recover the painting and other artworks taken from her relatives. Their effort brings them into a legal dispute with the Austrian government, which refuses to give up the contested family property.
