The Twilight Samurai

At the turn of the nineteenth century, Seibei Iguchi is a low-ranking samurai raising his two daughters while caring for his senile mother after his wife’s death. When Seibei defeats an opponent with a wooden sword, his clan orders him to kill a samurai of the same rank, drawing him into an internal conflict he would rather avoid. At the same time, his childhood friend Tomoe Iinuma returns to his life, giving Seibei another personal concern as he faces the demands of his position and the samurai code.
