The Patriot
Benjamin Martin, a former soldier and father of seven, has withdrawn from warfare to run his farm and raise his family. His eldest son, Gabriel, joins the colonial army as the American War of Independence begins, forcing Benjamin to confront the conflict he hoped to leave behind. When British troops bring the fighting close to his home, he takes up arms again and joins the rebel resistance to protect his son and family.
