King Arthur
In 5th-century Britain, Arthur is portrayed as a Roman-British military commander leading Sarmatian heavy cavalry stationed on the island. As the Roman Empire’s authority is tested by battles and political upheaval, he must guide his warriors through a conflict that reaches the lands around Hadrian’s Wall and Northumbria. Alongside Lancelot, Guinevere, Tristan and Gawain, Arthur becomes the central figure in a grounded version of the legend, where historical events and the familiar Arthurian story meet.
