Professor Marston and the Wonder Women
Harvard psychologist Dr. William Moulton Marston works with his wife, Elizabeth, while developing an early lie detector and exploring ideas about human behavior. Their lives change when Olive Byrne joins them, and the three form a relationship that challenges the social rules of the time. As Marston draws on this experience to create Wonder Woman, the comic’s themes and imagery bring him into conflict with censorship and demands for conventional respectability.
