Dovbush

In the early 18th century, Oleksa Dovbush joins his brother Ivan among the opryshkos resisting foreign rule in the Carpathians. The brothers soon take different paths: Ivan is driven by money, while Oleksa fights for the Hutsul people and becomes the focus of growing uprisings. Determined to stop him, the local lords send their forces against the elusive rebel and then target his relationship with Marichka, hoping to use it to bring him down.
