The Shawshank Redemption
Andy Dufresne, a respected banker, is sentenced to two life terms for the murders of his wife and her lover and sent to Shawshank prison. As he adjusts to the harsh rules of prison life, his accounting skills bring him to the attention of Warden Norton, who uses Andy to manage the institution’s financial affairs. Andy gradually forms a friendship with Red, an older inmate, while trying to preserve his integrity and find a way to endure his sentence without surrendering hope.
