One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Petty criminal Randle Patrick McMurphy pretends to be mentally ill so he can serve his sentence in a psychiatric ward instead of prison. His arrival unsettles the ward’s strict routine, and he begins drawing the other patients into activities that challenge the rules imposed by Nurse Mildred Ratched. As McMurphy resists her control, the uneasy relationship between the patient and the woman running the ward becomes the center of an escalating conflict.
