The Odyssey
Jacques-Yves Cousteau is an oceanographer whose research expeditions take him across the seas with a camera always ready to record what he discovers. His films bring the underwater world to audiences around the globe, while his growing ambitions shape the lives of those closest to him, including his wife Simone and sons Philippe and Jean-Michel. As Philippe joins his father’s expeditions, the family must contend with the distance between Cousteau’s public achievements and his complicated life away from the camera.
