The Keeper of Lost Causes
Five years after politician Merete Lynggaard disappeared from a ferry while traveling with her brother, the case is assigned to Department Q, a police unit that handles investigations left unresolved. Its only officers, the withdrawn Carl Mørck and his new partner Hafez el-Assad, revisit the evidence and search for an explanation that earlier investigators failed to find. As they trace Merete’s last known movements, the cold case points toward a crime that may still be in progress.
