The Absent One
Carl Mørck leads Department Q, a police unit that reopens difficult cases, when a former officer asks him to investigate the 1994 murder of his young twins. The crime was considered solved after a local man confessed and was convicted, but Carl and his colleague Assad find inconsistencies in the official account. Their search draws them toward a prestigious boarding school and the people connected to it, while the long-closed case begins to challenge the original verdict.
