Modern Times (1936)

A factory worker known as the Tramp struggles to keep up with the demands of industrial production, where people are treated like parts of a vast machine. Outside the factory, he hopes to build a home with a young woman, but his inexperience and constant habit of ending up in the wrong place repeatedly disrupt their plans. His attempts to find stability bring him into conflict with factory bosses, wealthy men and the police.
