Gran Torino
After his wife’s death, Korean War veteran Walt Kowalski lives alone in the Detroit house he has guarded for years, holding tightly to his 1972 Gran Torino and his own rigid views. When Thao, a Hmong teenager from the neighboring family, is forced by a local gang to try stealing the car, Walt catches him and soon learns that the boy is being pressured to join them. As the gang continues to threaten Thao and his sister Sue, Walt decides to intervene and protect the family next door, despite his hostility toward the community around him.
