The King of Staten Island
Scott Carlin is in his mid-20s, still living with his mother on Staten Island and trying to become a tattoo artist without making much progress. He spends his days smoking marijuana and hanging out with friends, while his younger sister prepares to leave for college and Scott remains stuck in the life he has known since his firefighter father died when he was seven. When his mother begins dating firefighter Ray Bishop, Scott has to confront the grief he has avoided and consider taking responsibility for his future.
