The Basketball Diaries
Jim Carroll is a high school basketball player in New York whose talent keeps him focused on the court while he and his friends get involved in theft, petty crime and drug use. What begins as experimentation leads Jim into heroin addiction, disrupting his place on the team and his relationship with his mother. As his dependence grows, he tries to find a way out of the life that is taking control of him.
