Downfall
In April 1945, Adolf Hitler remains in his Berlin bunker while Soviet forces close in on the capital and Germany’s defeat becomes unavoidable. Surrounded by advisers and military commanders, the dictator refuses to accept the situation and continues to demand victory, ordering his forces to fight despite their shrinking resources. Traudl Junge, his secretary, observes the final days inside the bunker as its occupants struggle to respond to the collapse of the regime around them.
