December Boys
Maps, Misty, Sparks and Spit are four teenage orphans growing up at a convent in the Australian outback, where they have watched younger children find adoptive families. A seaside holiday arranged by the Reverend Mother introduces them to Teresa and Fearless, a couple who are prepared to adopt one boy. The possibility of finally having a family turns the friends against one another as they compete for the couple’s attention, while the trip also brings their first experiences of love.
