Begin Again
Gretta James, a songwriter, is left on her own in New York after her musician boyfriend Dave Kohl abandons her. Her situation changes when Dan Mulligan, a divorced former record-label executive whose career is stalled, hears her perform and recognizes the potential in her songs. Instead of waiting for industry support, they decide to make an album together, recording with limited money and using locations around the city rather than a conventional studio.
