A River Runs Through It
In 1920s Montana, minister’s sons Norman and Paul Maclean grow up beside a river, where their father teaches them fly fishing and the two brothers spend much of their free time together. Their paths begin to separate when Norman leaves for college and later works as a journalist, while Paul remains at home and becomes involved in gambling. After Norman returns, the brothers resume fishing, but their shared ritual cannot hide the different choices and troubles shaping their lives.
