The Holdovers

At a New England boarding school in the 1970s, strict classics teacher Paul Hunham is assigned to supervise students who remain on campus over the Christmas holidays. When the others leave, he is left with Angus Tully, a clever but troublesome teenager whose difficult behavior keeps putting his place at school in question. Their uneasy stay is also shared with Mary Lamb, the school cook grieving the recent loss of her son in Vietnam, forcing the three into an unexpected holiday arrangement.
