The Vast of Night

In a small New Mexico town in the late 1950s, teenage switchboard operator Fay Crocker and radio host Everett are preparing for an ordinary evening shaped by a local basketball game. A strange sound breaks into the radio broadcast, and Fay soon hears an unsettling phone call connected to the same signal. As the two investigate the recording and ask listeners to report what they know, the mysterious transmission points to something far beyond the town and turns the night into a search for its source.
