The Unholy
Alice, a hearing-impaired girl in a small New England town, suddenly begins to hear and speak after what appears to be a visitation from the Virgin Mary. She also seems able to heal the sick, drawing crowds who come to witness the reported miracles. Disgraced journalist Gerry Fenn sees the story as a chance to restore his career, but his investigation becomes more troubling when frightening events suggest that Alice’s powers may come from something far more sinister than a holy presence.
