The Road
After an unexplained catastrophe destroys civilization, a father and his young son travel through the ruined United States toward the warmer south. They carry only what they can take with them, including a pistol with two bullets, while searching abandoned places for food and shelter. With winter closing in and groups of marauders on the roads, the father must protect the boy as they try to survive in a world where they cannot know what awaits them ahead.
