The Postman

In 2013, after war and an epidemic have broken the United States into isolated settlements, a nameless drifter travels the wasteland with his mule. When he reaches one community, he claims to be a postman and agrees to carry a letter to another settlement. The request draws him into a world where lawlessness and an organized army threaten the fragile communities, while the promise of restored communication begins to give people a reason to cooperate again.
