The Monuments Men
During World War II, museum directors, artists, architects, curators and art historians are sent to the front under Lieutenant Frank Stokes to protect Europe’s cultural heritage. Their mission becomes more urgent when they learn that Nazi forces have stolen priceless masterpieces and hidden them behind enemy lines. With little military experience, Stokes and his team must locate the works, recover them before they are destroyed, and identify their rightful owners amid the chaos of war.
