The Midnight Sky

Augustine Lofthouse, a scientist stationed in the Arctic, remains at the facility after a catastrophe devastates the world and cuts off communication with the outside. His only companion is Iris, a mysterious young girl, while the effects of radiation and his worsening illness limit his time. When Augustine discovers that the returning spacecraft Aether may still be carrying astronauts, he works to warn its crew before they reach an Earth they no longer recognize.
