The Karate Kid
Teenager Daniel LaRusso moves from New Jersey to Los Angeles with his mother, where he starts dating Ali and soon becomes a target for Johnny, her aggressive ex-boyfriend. Johnny and his friends train at the Cobra Kai karate dojo, whose ruthless instructor encourages their bullying. After Daniel meets Miyagi, a quiet repairman with extensive martial arts skill, he asks for help defending himself. Miyagi agrees to train him, leading Daniel toward a karate competition against the Cobra Kai students.
