The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society

In postwar London, writer Juliet Ashton is searching for a subject for her next book when she receives a letter from Dawsey Adams, a man on Guernsey. He tells her about the unusual literary society formed by island residents during the German occupation, using a name inspired by the meal they shared. Curious about the club and the people who created it, Juliet travels to Guernsey to hear their stories and consider turning them into her next book.
