The Bookshop

In 1959, Florence Green decides to open a bookshop in a small English town, where such a business has not existed before. Her plan soon meets resistance from local people who would rather preserve the town’s established order than make room for an unfamiliar enterprise. As Florence tries to keep the shop running, the dispute grows into a political struggle involving the community around her.
