The Aftermath
After World War II, Rachael Morgan moves to Hamburg with her husband, British colonel Lewis Morgan, as the city begins its post-war reconstruction. Their new home is also occupied by Stefan Lubert, a German widower who previously owned the house. Sharing the property brings the three of them into an uneasy arrangement, forcing Rachael and Lewis to deal with tensions that remain between the British residents and their German host.
