The Break-Up
Brooke Meyers and Gary Grobowski are a Chicago couple whose relationship breaks down after another argument over Gary’s failure to do a small favor. Brooke ends the relationship, but neither of them is willing to leave their shared condominium, forcing the former partners to remain under the same roof. As they turn everyday life into a series of arguments, tricks and attempts to undermine each other, friends and even a stranger encourage their increasingly hostile cohabitation.
