Sunset Boulevard
Joe Gillis is a struggling Hollywood screenwriter whose work attracts little interest. After a chance visit to the Sunset Boulevard villa of Norma Desmond, a once-famous silent-film star, he becomes involved in her plans for a screenplay intended to return her to the screen. Norma refuses to accept that the public has forgotten her, while Joe must deal with the demands of a woman determined to restore her former fame.
