Shaft
New York detective John Shaft arrests Walter Wade Jr. after a racially motivated killing, but the case quickly loses its strongest evidence when the only eyewitness disappears. Wade skips bail and spends two years in Switzerland before returning to face trial, relying on his family’s money and influence to avoid conviction. Shaft resumes the search for the witness and discovers that Wade has paid a drug kingpin to silence him permanently.
