L.A. Confidential
In 1950s Los Angeles, detectives Jack Vincennes, Wendell “Bud” White and Edmund “Ed” Exley work inside a police force damaged by corruption and brutality. Although their methods and priorities differ, the three become connected by the shotgun murders of several customers at an all-night diner. As they investigate the killings, their search for the person responsible leads them toward a wider conspiracy involving the city’s criminal underworld and the police officers meant to control it.
