Saving Mr. Banks
Author P.L. Travers is unwilling to give Walt Disney permission to adapt her Mary Poppins books for the cinema. During their meetings, Disney and his team try to shape the project while Travers revisits the difficult childhood behind her writing, including her relationship with her father and the impact of his alcoholism and death. As negotiations continue, she must decide how much control she can surrender over the character and story she created.
