Okja

For ten years, young Mija has lived in the mountains of South Korea with Okja, a huge animal she considers her closest friend. Their quiet life ends when a powerful multinational company takes Okja away and transports her to New York. Mija leaves home to find her companion, but the search draws her into a conflict involving the company’s genetically modified food business, environmental activists and the slaughterhouse where Okja is held.
