My Name Is Khan
Rizwan Khan, a Muslim man with Asperger’s syndrome from Mumbai, moves to San Francisco and marries Mandira, a Hindu single mother. Their family life changes after the September 11 attacks, when suspicion toward Muslims spreads across the country. Authorities detain Rizwan at Los Angeles International Airport and treat him as a terrorist because of his condition and race. After Mandira leaves him, he sets out across America to find her and deliver a message he believes can change her mind.
