By the Sea
In 1970s France, former dancer Vanessa and her husband Roland, an American writer, stop at a quiet seaside hotel while traveling through the country. Their marriage has grown distant: Roland struggles to write and spends much of his time at a nearby bar, while Vanessa rarely leaves their room. After noticing the young couple staying next door through a hole in the wall, Vanessa begins watching them, and the couple’s presence draws her and Roland into contact with other people in the town.
