Dear John
Sergeant John Tyree returns home from Germany for a short leave and meets Savannah after retrieving her purse from the water. Their brief time together develops into love, but John must soon return to military service overseas. They promise to stay in touch through letters and plan a future together, yet the events of September 11, 2001, lead John to extend his commitment to the army, putting their relationship under growing strain.
