American Gangster
In 1970s Harlem, Frank Lucas builds his own drug operation after the death of the crime boss he once served. He establishes a direct supply of heroin from Southeast Asia and uses returning military planes to bring it into the United States, allowing him to challenge New York’s established dealers. His growing network draws the attention of Detective Richie Roberts, who leads a task force determined to uncover the corruption surrounding the trade and bring Lucas to justice.
