Netflix’s Sept. 23 announcement names the season’s writers, directors and production company, with production taking place in Bavaria, the Czech Republic and Spain.
Netflix announced on 23 September 2026 that The Empress Season 3 will premiere on November 12, 2026. The announcement calls the installment “the epic finale of The Empress” and says it will launch on Netflix.
The confirmed cast includes Devrim Lingnau Islamoğlu, Philip Froissant, Melika Foroutan, Johannes Nussbaum and Josephine Thiesen. The listed performers also include Runa Greiner, Dejan Bućin, Marlene Burow, Christophe Favre and Merlin Sandmeyer. Netflix’s cast credit ends with “among others,” so the published names are not presented as exhaustive.
Katharina Eyssen is credited as Head-Writer, while Elena von Saucken is also named among the writers. The directing credits go to Florian Cossen and Julia Langhof.
Eyssen once again serves as showrunner for the third season, sharing creative responsibility with executive producer Robert Eyssen. The executive-producer credits also name Jochen Laube, Fabian Maubach, Katharina Eyssen and Scarlett Lacey.
Sommerhaus Serien GmbH is credited as the production company for The Empress Season 3. The production information says production took place in Bavaria, the Czech Republic and Spain.
