In 1915, French private Gabriel Ferraud is left for dead after a battlefield injury, but his disappearance leads him into a secret military experiment. A serum gives him unusual strength and speed, and Gabriel is recruited into the Sentinels, an elite unit of enhanced soldiers. While trying to return to his family, he must take part in a new kind of campaign aimed at bringing the First World War to an end.
