In London’s East End in 1889, police detective Edmund Reid leads H Division, a precinct responsible for keeping order in the troubled streets of Whitechapel after the Jack the Ripper murders. As residents remain shaken and new crimes emerge, Reid and his colleagues, including Homer Jackson, investigate cases in a city still struggling with the killer’s legacy. Their work forces them to confront both everyday violence and the lasting damage left by the murders.
